Thanks for your interest in 1inch DAO and your participation. This Forum welcomes all ideas and opinions, as long as they are presented in a civilized and tolerant manner. Please, abide by the following principles to achieve maximum efficiency of the discussion. We also have the Terms that govern your use of the 1inch Network website, including this forum.
You are welcomed to provide input to any discussion. However, do not duplicate, repeat and do not keep on beating the wind. Be critical of whether your comment adds to the conversation.
If you agree with someone’s opinion, you can support them with “kudos” rather than repeating the same thought in the separate comment.
Please, carefully scroll through current discussion topics and proposals before starting a new one.
Once you are confident your idea is unique, please focus the post around a single objective. When an initial post is clear enough for others to easily understand, future contributions to that topic will be more valuable. In the beginning, your idea may not be fully fleshed out and that is ok. Community discussions should fuel iterations on the initial idea. Please edit the main post as you and the community work toward a version of your idea that is most valuable to 1inch Network and the community.
Do not revert to name-calling, offensive personal outbursts, escalating the tone of discussion etc. Always stay tolerant, even if you disagree.
Assess whether your critical or negative comment will enhance current discourse. Reaction to bad behaviour provokes more aggressive behaviour and less constructive opinions.
Don’t post anything that a reasonable person would consider offensive, abusive, or hate speech. The forum does not tolerate any racism, sexism, other discriminatory or offensive content.
Don’t post anything obscene or sexually explicit.
Don’t harass or grief anyone, impersonate people, or expose their private information. Try to refrain from offensive language in general. Don’t use it towards other participants personally.
Don’t post spam or otherwise vandalize the forum. Don’t post unsolicited referral links to other projects, products or other ads, unless specifically asked for by another user. This is a community space free from advertising.
Respect intellectual property. If you do not have necessary rights or permission - do not post or share any digital content. You may not post about ways to infringe or steal intellectual property rights.
Respect the law. Do not post anything that may infringe any legislation or be perceived as an appeal to do so.
There are tools at the Forum that help keep the discussion focused, categorised, effective and civil.
These tools assist the community with collectively identifying most and least worthy contributions: bookmarks, likes, flags, replies, edits, and so forth. Use them to improve your own experience, and everyone else’s, too.
Make the effort to put things in the right place, so that we can spend more time discussing and less cleaning up. There are several categories. The purpose of each of these categories is described in the category. If none of the categories appears to be a fit, use the “General” one.
- Don’t start a topic in the wrong category.
- Don’t cross-post the same thing on multiple topics.
- Don’t post no-content replies.
- Don’t divert a topic by changing it midstream.
- Don’t sign your posts — every post has your profile information attached to it.
You and the moderators are responsible for keeping the forum clean. Use your power to manage the Forum.
While we foster discussion of 1inch Network in other languages on platforms like Telegram and Discord, we don’t have the availability to handle multi-language support here, yet. As a consequence, all post should be in English. The English does not need to be perfect, it is okay to use translation software, and it is okay to post the original text, too (just be sure to have a translated English version of what you post).
Do not engage in content manipulation like spamming, sock-puppet accounts, brigading, ban evasion, poll manipulation, sybil attacks, and “like” manipulation, etc…
If you suspect this type of platform abuse is occurring, please contact a moderator so we can investigate.
An individual may only control one account at a time. A single individual simultaneously controlling multiple accounts is considered a form of sybil attack and is forbidden.
You may not impersonate other individuals or entities. You do not need to use your real name, and may use a pseudonymous handle like most of us do, but do not pretend to be someone else with the intention of misleading the broader community.
You, together with each member of the community, are responsible for the Forum, and thus its efficiency and benefit for 1inch DAO and the community. Let’s discuss!
